These Paumelle Ball Race Lift Off Hinges are a solid brass hinge, and are designed for use with medium weight flush doors.

The top half of the hinge lifts off making it easier to remove the door from the frame. These Lift Off hinges are handed and must be specified to operate in either a clockwise closing or an anti-clockwise closing direction.

The leaf with the pin in the upwards position must be fitted to the frame. Hinge operation is either clockwise closing or anti-clockwise closing and should be specified using the ISO 5 clockwise closing and ISO 6 anti-clockwise closing convention. Please see the diagram above and check carefully that you are ordering the correct handing for your door - the hinges are made to order and are non-returnable.

There are a range of finishes to choose from so you will be able to find one that matches or complements your door furniture beautifully.

These hinges are sold as a SINGLE HINGE (not in pairs) and we supply them with matching screws. Always make a small pilot drill hole and use a manual screw driver to avoid damaging screws and finish.

Living Finishes

Polished Brass Unlacquered, Satin Brass Unlacquered

Initially this finish will have either a highly polished, reflective surface, or a soft brushed matt surface. Once installed the touch, time and environment will lead to gradual wear and oxidisation, thus imparting charm and elegance.

Plated Finishes

Polished Chrome, Polished Nickel, Satin Chrome, Satin Nickel

These electroplated finishes are used for both decorative and practical purposes. We apply a thin layer of metal our brass substrate which ensures protection of the base metal and excellent resistance to corrosion and the elements.

Special Finishes - Lacquered

Antique Nickel, Imitation Dark Bronze, Antique Brass, Aged Brass

These special finishes are applied over a brass base and then are finished with a protective lacquer.
