This Unlacquered Brass Hatton Round Covered Escutcheon is designed to match our Hatton Cushion Door Knobs, but its simple round design makes it perfect for any door.

It is designed to tidy the hole made in the door to receive the key for a mortice lock. The added benefit of the cover means that not only does it improve the look but it also helps to keep out draughts and debris too.

Matching Open Escutcheon is also available for the inside of doors.

Supplied with matching fixings. The screws supplied are hand finished, so please take care when fixing. Always use a pilot drill.

Unlacquered Brass

The brass is polished to provide a uniform start but left unlacquered so that it ages naturally developing a rich, deep patina with time.

The living finish means with time and touch the brass will mellow, however you can easily brighten the brass by using a good quality metal polish.

You may apply a thin layer of good quality beeswax polish from time to time to slow down the ageing process.
