They have an 8mm threaded spindle to enable fine adjustment for various door thicknesses and lock firmly with a Grub Screw, which must locate on the V in the shaft and not on the threaded part of the spindle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor best results we recommend using a Heavy Duty \/ Heavy Sprung lock or latch, with at least a 100mm lock case to provide a minimum backset of 75mm. This is to make sure that the door knobs turn properly and return back to their start position.
