Both the external design and the internal locking mechanism of this beautiful rimlock are faithfully copied from those of the Victorian era.
This rimlock has been cast in solid brass, is hand aged and bears the makers badge on the body casing. The brass is not lacquered and would normally be left to age in the traditional manner. The lock operates with a single lever mechanism and is suitable for internal doors only. If it is to be used on an external door a safety lock will also need to be fitted.
